Our June Meeting was a meeting of two halves, the first half was players on the stage, then we moved on to a free for all (practice night) format. We started the night with Bernard Bamber playing Oh Boy, Bye Bye Love, Send Me Pillow You Dream On, Goodnight Irene, Isle Of Innishfree, 40 Shades of Green, Old Flames, My Wild Irish Rose and Lovely Rose Of Clare.
Colin Ensor was up next playin Please Don’t Talk, I’ll String Along with You, Violetta, Malta, Pigalle, She, Sweetheart Of All My Dreams, Try A Little Tenderness, Who’s Taking You Home Tonight. Then we heard from Ann Parker who played Frog Chorus, Snow Waltz, Loveliest Night Of The Year and Woodland Fantasia.
The floor was then open for anyone to play anything in any part of the room, chat, drink coffee, repair accordions, swap tips, help each other with music etc.
The night ended at the usual 11pm when they came to lock the place up and we all went home happy to be able to meet up again and listen (and play) live music.

We will be meeting this Tuesday 19th of July. Doors open at 8pm with a hybrid meeting as usual. We will start with any players on the stage who want to play or practice playing to an audience, then we will move on to having the rest of the evening as a Practice Night. This way we can cater for most people’s
preferences in one night, if you prefer to play on stage please arrive sooner rather than later and we will get all stage performances done first. As usual there will be Tea and Coffee on sale at 20p a Cup.
Please bring yourselves and your accordion if you have one.
See you at 8pm on Tuesday 19th.
David.
