Harry Davis
|
A good friend of the club Harry Davis
(Harry The Boat) Has Passed Away, He has not been to the club for a number of years now, his wife Audrey had died and his Dementia had worsened then he had moved into a care home. I lost contact with Harry when his health limited the number of times he came to the club and after a while of not seeing him his phone stopped working and I got no replies from his address, I had no idea he had gone in to a home. From the early days of the club Harry and Audrey Davis were regular visitors, with Harry being the accordionist. We had regular boat trips on Harrys narrowboat playing the accordion and we would play on his boat in Preston docks at the maritime festival. Harry always tried to make it to the club even though he had to travel over from Manchester where he
lived.
