Last Month
|
Our last meeting started with Harvey Segar playing Mexicalli Rose, I’ll Be Your Sweetheart, Sloop John B, Ten Guitars, I Belong To Glasgow and Delilah. Ann Parker was up next playing Fancy Fingers Polka, Jackallen Jive, Mambo Boogie, Style Musette, Snow Waltz and Loveliest Night Of The Year. Our next player was Michael Kristiansen playing Bonnie Galloway, The Rowen Tree, Will Ye No Come Back
Agan, The Jig-Runrig, Oban’s Pipe and Drums and Ben Gullion. Bernard Bamber was our next player, he gave us I Love A Lassie, Irish Eyes, Galway Bay, Goodnight Irene, 40 Shades Of Green, Roaming In The Gloamin and A Wee Dockin Doris. Sara Daly then took to the stage playing The Heaving Of Friday Harbour, Genevieves Waltz and Granddaughters Waltz. Colin Ensor was our final stage performer of the night, playing The Greatest Mistake, Try A Little Tenderness, I’ll String Along With You, Someday, Some
Of These Days, The Town I Love, Kate Martin Waltz and Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. After the stage performances were over we then moved on to the informal part of the night, with people playing in various locations and groups around the room, chatting, drinking tea and coffee, swapping stories and tips, and generally having a good time.

Our Next Meeting

Tuesday the 18th March. As usual we will give players chance to play on the stage before opening the floor up to playing anywhere around the room, chatting, catching up with each other, learning new tunes etc. Don’t forget to bring your accordion. As usual there will be Tea and Coffee on the go. See

Holiday camp where the Accordion Week takes place from the 4th to the 11th of July have announced they are bringing back in to use 12 Chalets at the back of the park which have now been refurbished. The next ONLINE meeting will be 2nd April starting at 8pm, we have an online catch up with local members and others from far and wide. This is held on Zoom. The night starts at 8pm and will be a chance to chat about accordions, find out what others have been up to, or even play a tune for us.
