We
didn’t have a July concert because the Priory Club took an all day booking on that day and cancelled our booking. For logistical reasons there is also no concert this month, but we are still meeting on what would have been a concert night, but we have changed it to a practice night instead. So our next meetings will be….

John & Jackie Romero have announced they managed to beat last years total and a further £492.70 has now been added to the amount collected for the Winstons
Wish charity. This brings the couples fundraising overall to £12,712. “Considering we lost half a day on Sunday when it rained I was really pleased we beat last years total” said Jackie Romero “I really didn’t think we would manage it. Having the two accordion orchestras helped such a lot and we really need to thank both Weaver Valley and North Staffs Accordion Orchestras. Further thanks need to be paid to Harry Hussey, guitarist Jon Pennie, those that staffed the tea garden and of course
those shaking buckets to collect the much needed funds. Clare Richards from Winstons Wish told us “This is gratefully accepted and will help towards bringing another professional grief councillor to the North West region of the charity”. John Romero said “Watch this space and we will do it all over again next year!”
