Ann Parker followed Bernard, Anne played Snow Waltz, Loveliest Night Of The Year, Beer Barrel Polka and Bel Viso. Andy Fitzpatrick was our next player. Andy was visiting from Southampton, he called at Leyland Club on the way to Scotland. Andy had brought his Roland accordion and he was happy to play for us. He started with La Vie En Rose, then moved on to play Que Sera Sera, Spanish Gypsy Dance, Happy
Wanderer, Besame Mucho, Wooden Heart and Smile. Michael Kristiansen played Pheigi A Gradh, Eilidh, Welcome to Skye, Loch Rannoch Lord Lovat’s Lament Flett From Flotta. Our last stage player of the night was Colin Ensor who played Please Don’t Talk, More Than You Know, Island Of Dreams, Goodnight Irene, Sweetheart of all My Dreams and Charmaine. The lights then went up and the rest of the night was busy with lots of playing, discussions, tea and coffee being drunk and an accordion repair
happening. Our visitor from Southampton had plenty of people chatting to him during the night and there was a lot of activity in the room right up to 11pm.
The night ended at the usual 11pm when they came to lock the place up and we all went home happy to be able to meet up again and listen (and play) live music.

We will
be meeting this Tuesday 15th of November. Doors open at 8pm with a hybrid meeting as usual. We will start with any players on the stage who want to play or practice playing to an audience, then we will move on to having the rest of the evening as
a Practice Night. This way we can cater for most people’s preferences in one night, if you prefer to play on stage please arrive sooner rather than later and we will get all stage performances done first. As usual there will be Tea and Coffee on sale at 20p a Cup. Please bring yourselves and your accordion if you have one. See you at 8pm on Tuesday 15th. David.

We Swedish
man Linus Akesson has made two old Computers (Commordore 64s) into a working accordion, he used old Floppy Disks and tape to make the bellows for the “Commodordion”. Linus has made an 11 minute Youtube video showing how he made it and demonstrating it playing. It sounds great when he starts playing, especially if you have memories of Retro Computer Games music. Here is a link to
a Youtube video of the commodordion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBCYvoC4muc&t=472s Linus has also written about how we went about making it on his website https://linusakesson.net/commodordion/index.php Linus has previously made a Commordore 64 into a theremin.
