Our October concert started with Bernard Belshaw playing Spanish Gypsy Dance and Moonlight Serenade. He then continued with Blue Tango, Ecstasy, Jealousy, How Wonder To Know, Blaze Away, This Is My Song, Wooden Heart, Wheels, Ain’t Misbehaving and finished with Ain’t She Sweet. Our next player was Rob Helps who is a
busker from Keswick. Rob was making his debut at the club, having never visited us before. He played Diamond Are a Girls Best Friend, Bohemian Rhapsody, Tonight and Goldfinger. Bernard Bamber then took to the stage playing You Are My Sunshine, Lassie From Lancashire, It’s a Long Way To Tipperary, Lambeth Walk, Paper Roses, Grandfathers Clock, John Peel, He’ll Have To Go, Daisy, Goodnight Irene and In The Mood. Ann Parker was our next player. Ann started her set with Frog Chorus, then went
on to play Beer Barrel Polka, Black Mask Waltz and Snow Waltz. Colin Ensor was up next, playing Alexanders Ragtime Band, Some Of These Days, Pigalle, If I Had My Way, She, Godfather Theme, Charmaine and Little O’le Wine Drinker Me. To finish the night I played Black Mask Waltz and Now Is The Hour, before Colin returned to the stage and joined me for Sweetheart Of All My Dreams and Greatest Mistake Of My Life. It had been a great local players concert.

It’s time to start practicing your Christmas favourites and party pieces. It won’t be long until our Christmas event and you may also get asked to play some carols by family or friends at home over the Christmas period, so the best time to start learning them is way before Christmas.
